Nevill Holt Opera is delighted to announce a full-scale outdoor production of Noye's Fludde (Noah's Flood) by Benjamin Britten as the closing highlight of our 2017 Summer Festival.
Featuring 130 local Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland school children, conducted by NHO's Artistic Director Nicholas Chalmers and directed by Royal Opera House Director of Opera Oliver Mears, this will be NHO's first community children's opera.
With performances at 2pm and 5pm on both Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 2017, the Nevill Holt estate will play host to the community opera set in the stunning surrounds of it's landscaped gardens. 130 East Midlands school children will perform alongside some of the UK's leading operatic professionals.
The relaxed environment and spectacular 50 minute production promises to make Noye's Fludde the perfect introduction to opera for children, young adults and families, and will count towards your ACE Artsmark.
