Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Sale

Tickets cannot be refunded except in the case of a cancelled performance. If the performance is cancelled you will be offered a credit note or a full refund of your tickets.

Tickets must not be resold. This includes the resale of tickets for profit, in which circumstances The Management reserves the right to cancel tickets or refuse admission without notice and without being obliged to refund monies. If you find you are unable to attend please contact your original point of sale.

The unauthorised use of a camera, video, audio, or other recording device is strictly prohibited.

Ticket holders consent to the recording and filming of themselves as members of the audience.

We conduct photography and filming in the theatres and around the site for purposes including archive recording, press and promotional photography, and the production of marketing materials. We keep these recordings and photos in perpetuity.

The performance will go proceed in all weathers as long as it can do so safely. Customers will not be refunded in the case of rain or other inclement weather should the performance go ahead.

All information is correct at the point of sale. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to change the published detail of the event, including advertised performers and event times without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

The Management reserves the right to provide alternative seats to those specified on the tickets

The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any ticket holder in reasonable circumstances including, without limitation, where the ticket holder breaches these Terms and Conditions, disrupts other audience members’ enjoyment or does anything that the Management considers to be unacceptable behaviour, taking health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account

Please be aware that latecomers may be admitted only at a suitable break in the performance.

If you experience a problem whilst at the venue or during an event, please bring it to the attention of the site manager immediately. We regret we may not be able to offer refunds or exchanges retrospectively.

Ticket Exchanges

Subject to availability, tickets may be exchanged for an alternative date.

Exchanges must be pre-arranged at least 5 days prior to the date of the performance.

Tickets purchased within 5 days of the performance will not be eligible for exchange.

There is an exchange fee of £5 per ticket payable in advance.

Returning Tickets for Resale

If your tickets have been accepted for resale by the Box Office, your e-ticket will no longer be valid.

There is a £5.00 charge per ticket for resale. You will be contacted for repayment details, and refunded for your resold tickets within 4 weeks of the performance in question.

Please note that a resale is never guaranteed and that Nevill Holt Opera reserves the right to sell all its own remaining tickets for that performance before returned tickets can be sold.

Reimbursement for resold tickets is made only to the original purchaser.

Customers reselling tickets are responsible for contacting the Box Office if they would like to know the status of their resale(s).

Unsold returned tickets may be withdrawn from resale at any time at the original purchaser’s request and/or at Nevill Holt Opera’s discretion.

Gift Aid

Nevill Holt Opera Ltd is run on behalf of Nevill Holt Community Arts, which is a Charity (1163614). For our opera ticket’s to work to our best advantage, we have split the ticket prices relating to tickets secured by the customer for £75 and above into two parts: one part is a donation, and the remainder is liable for VAT. The donation element at Nevill Holt Opera is £30-£70 (40% of the total price). By doing this there is no additional cost to ticket buyers and more of your ticket money can go towards the operas staged by Nevill Holt Opera.

Gift Aid regulations mean that we can also claim a further amount per ticket from HMRC. This practice is used by many charities. Without the donation element, we are unable to cover the festival costs of Nevill Holt Opera. We are legally bound, however, to point out that the donation element is optional. If you would like to purchase a ticket without the voluntary donation element, or for any questions relating to this donation please call 01858 437 451.
