Celebrate the festive season this December at our Winter Festival of performances by world-renowned artists, including the return of our candlelit Messiah in the Nevill Holt Theatre and The Manchester Monastery.
Award-winning saxophonist and BBC presenter Jess Gillam and Manchester Camerata will open the festival, followed by the return of our popular candlelit performance of Handel’s Messiah. We are also thrilled to be returning to The Monastery Manchester in Gorton, the home of our orchestra partner the Manchester Camerata, for a further performance of Handel’s Messiah.

Friday 2 December 7:30pm – Nevill Holt Theatre
Saxophonist and TV presenter Jess Gillam will be joined by Manchester Camerata directed by Caroline Pether to open our festival with some of the most celebrated works for saxophone with a festive flare. Members receive a 10% discount when booking this event with their priority code.
Saturday 3 December 7pm – Nevill Holt Theatre
The Manchester Camerata joins us in the Nevill Holt Theatre for the return of our popular candlelit performance of Handel’s Messiah. Handel’s solos and choruses will be sung by our Associate and Emerging Artists under the baton of Nicholas Chalmers.
Sunday 4 December 3pm – The Monastery Manchester
Following the success of our Messiah in 2021, we return to the stunning home of Manchester Camerata, The Monastery Manchester. Tickets for this event will be sold here.
