We are deeply saddened to share that we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this year’s summer festival at Nevill Holt Opera.
The health and safety of everyone we work with at NHO, and of everyone in our audience, is extremely important to us. This is a worrying time for all. We can’t predict exactly what the situation will be in June, but official advice makes clear that it is very unlikely that we would be able to continue safely with our festival this summer. We are contacting all ticket holders for this summer’s festival.
We are very concerned by the impact that this postponement will have on Nevill Holt Opera, and on the brilliant young artists and creatives who we work with. As a small festival, without public subsidy, we are doing our very best to find a way to support them at this challenging time and to ensure that Nevill Holt Opera continues to exist for seasons to come.
We are working hard to confirm a number of events and performances that will take place before next year’s festival, and will present both La traviata and Don Giovanni as part of our summer festival in 2021.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported NHO this year, and look forward to welcoming you to Nevill Holt as soon as it is safe to do so.
