Main purpose of job and key responsibilities
The Assistant Director for Nevill Holt Opera’s production of Il barbière di Siviglia will assist Director Anna Morrissey in ensuring and facilitating a smooth running of the rehearsal room, at the production site and for the touring of the production to Newcastle, as well as playing a vital part in the production’s creative process. The Assistant Director will also work with cover roles. You will work closely with the creative team, the cast and the NHO team. |

This role is a fixed-term opportunity. Hours: The Assistant Director will be needed during the period 16 May 2022 – 23 June and 1-3 July 2022. The rehearsal period in London takes place between 16 May and 11 June. Rehearsals at Nevill Holt begin on 18 June, with performances on 23, 25, 26, 28, 29 June. The Assistant Director will only be required for the first performance. The production then tours to Newcastle for two performances on the 2 and 3 July. Meetings with the Director will be arranged directly with Anna Morrissey prior to the season. Fee: £3,500 Travel: All accommodation and travel outside London is provided by Nevill Holt Opera.
